The Drummond Sno-Jacks club was founded in 1970. The club has always been a part of the Drummond community, supporting each other over the years. Today, the Drummond Dirt & Sno-Jacks support the trails in Drummond, Grand View, and Mason. We help the local economy by encouraging visitors to experience our trails and spend money with our local area businesses. We know that our ATV and Snowmobiling communities drive tourism.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Drummond Bar Stool Races is Drummond’s biggest fundraising event and growing.  The Bar Stool races were created in 1999 by dedicated club members and Drummond business owners to raise money to support grooming efforts and trail maintenance.  Today, the event raises $25,000 annually for trail work and equipment and in the last two years, has helped raise over $2500. for Drummond High School student organizations. Next year, the club plans to open the event to volunteers from other local non-profit organizations as another avenue for their community fundraising.

Grants from Yamaha and Ski-Doo contributed $10,000 to recent trail improvements. An annual cost-share agreement with the U.S. Forest Service has provided $27,000 over the past two years. During this same time, the club invested $20,000 in trail upkeep and Bayfield County contributed free materials and limited funds.

We have approximately 40 members, many of whom are local residents and seasonal property owners. Almost half our membership are snowmobilers, and the rest ATVers or friends who want to see our community flourish by promoting trail safety, tourism, enjoying friendships and having fun!

A $5,000 Grant in 2022 from Ski-Doo and Hayward Powersports provided the funding for trail improvements from Lake Owen to Lake Owen Station. Erosion control was also addressed.

A 2023 Cost Share Agreement with the USFS allowed us to invest $14,000 in Trail 7 and Trail 63 North which included trail drainage repair and brushing. In 2024, we will continue to focus onTrail 7 in 2024
